A Ferrari F12tdf is trending after being spotted in South Africa. Undoubtedly, the car is one of the rare Ferraris spotted in South Africa, including the Ferrari GTO.

Photos of the F12tdf have been making rounds on social media, and petrolheads have since given it a nod.

Taking to Instagram popular car spotter RTM Supercars South Africa posted, “F12 TDF. Unicorn Ferrari F12 TDF… this is one of just 799 cars in the world and 1 of apparently 9 cars that made their way into the country.”

The spotter added, “This being one of the least spotted examples in SA and my word is this spec just absolutely perfect! One of the greatest cars ever made.”

The post has since gained thousands of comments and reactions, with many trying to connect the dots about the Ferrari F12tdf. Surprisingly, the car is one of the nine F12tdfs that made its way to South Africa.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?

The car is one of the fastest Ferraris ever made. It is a track-focused version of the F12berlinetta. However, there were only 799 units which hit the market between 2015 and 2017.

The car has a has a top speed of 340 km/h. The Ferrari F12tdf can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and can reach 200km/h in 7.9 seconds. Undoubtedly, its top speed puts it two seconds faster than the F12berlinetta and 488 GTB and just 1.3 seconds behind one of Ferrari’s fastest models, the LaFerrari.

Surprisingly, the Ferrari F12tdf is road-legal. The F12tdf is a grand tourer and boasts a front engine and rear-wheel drive. Currently, there are Ferrari F12tdfs on the market in South Africa, leaving many to guess about the car’s price tag. However, several dealerships have listed the F12berlinetta for R4.8 million.
