It was a sad night for South Africa! On Monday evening, authorities discovered the body of former SA boxing world champion Dingaan “Rose of Soweto” Thobela at his flat in Joburg.
A report by Sowetan revealed that authorities found the 57-year-old Thobela dead in his flat in Mayfair, Johannesburg, on Monday evening after he had battled illness.
His childhood friend Eddie Mutungutungu confirmed the death of Thobela.

It noted that despite the ongoing presence of Covid-19, its transmission remains relatively subdued.
Mpumalanga SASSA offices closed following alleged witchcraft
Workers at the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) offices in Mkhondo Municipality (previously known as Piet Retief), Mpumalanga, closed the offices for two weeks due to safety concerns. This action came after CCTV footage captured a sangoma performing a ritual in various workstations.
SASSA spokesperson in Mpumalanga Senzeni Ngubeni confirmed the incident on Monday, 29 April.
